Best Beach Vacation Destinations
I have visited some pretty amazing places, so I hope that you can get an idea of what awaits you when you choose your next adventure. Most of the beach destinations I visit are in Mexico and the Caribbean, where the sea and sand are exquisite.
Puerto Vallarta Mexico
A favorite vacation spot is definitely Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. Here you not only have wonderful surf and sand, excellent resorts, beautiful tourist sites, but also jungles and mountain adventures close by. The Malecon boardwalk is a favorite place to visit. It is fun to watch people, as well as enjoy fabulous restaurants, unique shopping, street artists and street food vendors.
Cancun Mexico
Cancun Mexico is located in the Western Caribbean on the Yucatan Peninsula. Riviera Maya as it is commonly called, is actually one of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico. It features brilliant blue Caribbean waters with beautiful white sand beaches. In Cancun the weather is delightful, the food is delicious, and beach resorts are fabulous. It is an adventure to visit the enchanting, Mayan ruins including a small Maya village with a temple dating back to an ancient Mayan civilization about A.D. 250. If you enjoy scuba diving, snorkeling or deep sea fishing experience it here. You can even swim with dolphins if that is your thing. Don’t forget the incredible food and entertainment in this dream location.
Belize
Belize is a small, enchanting country located northeast of Central America. It is located on the eastern coast of the Caribbean Sea and borders Guatemala and Mexico. Anciently the Mayan civilization inhabited Belize, so there are numerous Mayan ruins located in jungles. We enjoyed exploring these ancient ruins and trying to imagine what life was like back then. Many of the ruins are still covered just waiting to be excavated, but some can be explored. Belize has excellent diving, because of the coral reef, spanning the entire length of the country. Snorkeling, kayaking, cave exploration in addition to beautiful beach resorts, are all awaiting you.
Rocky Point Mexico
Our favorite family beach destination is Rocky Point Mexico. It is conveniently located at the tip of the Sea of Cortez, so it is only a 4 hour drive from our home. Our family has spent time there most every summer for many years. The beautiful sandy beaches there are unbelievable. There are many beach resorts, as well as a quaint village, where the locals cater to tourists. This is a great place for amazing seafood, golf, beaching and local arts and crafts. Adventure Awaits!!
